More than 200 colleagues and guests enjoyed the official opening of our new headquarters in Falun.

Visitors from our newly neighbouring businesses, local councillors and former CTEK employees attended the event to celebrate this latest milestone in our development and have a guided tour of the facilities.

The newly built headquarters in Falun marks an important step in CTEK’s continued growth and innovation. Located at Strandvägen 15, the modern facility brings together more than 70 employees across diverse areas of the business - from research and development to customer support, logistics, marketing, and business management.

At the heart of the new premises is a state-of-the-art laboratory, designed to advance our work on battery charging technology. This includes everything from low-voltage battery chargers to cutting-edge solutions for electric vehicles. The facility also features a laboratory for electromagnetic compatibility and custom-built rigs for comprehensive charging tests.

But it’s not just about the lab. The co-location of departments under one roof is a strategic move that fosters stronger collaboration, faster decision-making, and a more cohesive company culture. By having engineering, operations, and commercial teams working side by side, CTEK is creating a dynamic environment that supports innovation across the board.

At the open day, Henrik Fagrenius, CEO of CTEK, officially opened the new headquarters and said:

“At CTEK we are experts in battery charging and at the new headquarters we have the opportunity to further develop and refine our product development.

“Among other things, the engineers will now have even better opportunities to simulate different technologies and procedures in order to be able to develop the best battery chargers in an efficient and safe way."

Falun was a natural choice for the location - not only because of its strong ties to CTEK’s roots in Dalarna, but also as a practical step toward offering local career opportunities. Many engineers previously commuting from Falun to other areas can now work closer to home, while CTEK stays true to its regional identity.

Henrik added:

"CTEK has since the start been a local company in Dalarna with a global market and I am happy that we manage to maintain that feeling and attitude in the company. Our future rests on using the Swedish model, where both technical competence and entrepreneurial spirit are central. Here in Falun, there is just that.”

The new address for CTEK is: Strandvägen 15, SE - 791 42 Falun.

Car battery maintainers: keep your battery healthy all year

A car battery maintainer will deliver a controlled low current to keep a vehicle's battery in peak condition, making it ideal for vehicles which are parked for extended periods of time. A car battery maintainer, such as those offered by CTEK, helps prevent battery drain and extends battery life. This article explains what a battery maintainer is, how it differs from a standard charger, its benefits for seldom used and seasonal vehicles, practical setup advice for garages and car ports, and a spotlight on CTEK's NXT 5.

Road trip ready: how to avoid a flat battery ruining your summer escape

There’s nothing quite like heading off in a motorhome during summer. Longer days, spontaneous stopovers, coastal roads, mountain campsites and evenings spent outdoors – it’s what motorhome life is all about. But summer adventures also place extra demand on your vehicle’s battery system. Fridges run constantly, lighting stays on later into the evening, phones and devices are always charging and many motorhomes sit unused between trips.
