The first touchscreen CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 3i Electric Vehicle (EV) chargepoints from CTEK are now live at a newly renovated car park in Gothenburg — bringing a smarter, more interactive charging experience to drivers in the city.

Six dual-outlet CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 3i (CC3i) units have been installed at the Rosenlundsgatan parking garage, operated by ChargeNode for property owner Wallenstam — marking an exciting step forward in user-friendly public EV charging.

Together the new CC3i chargepoints can power 12 EVs at once, each at up to 22kW, and are busy working alongside 20 CTEK CC2 chargepoints in the semi-public parking garage with 74 bays, including spaces rented to office and restaurant tenants.

The CC3i chargepoints , installed as part of a thorough refurbishment of the parking garage, introduce a large, integrated touchscreen as a new user interface with clear, easy-to-read information on charging status, energy consumption, pricing and instructions.

This makes the chargepoints user-friendly for drivers, who can more easily keep track of charging costs and time, while the dynamic touchscreen supports operators and property owners as public charging regulations evolve.

CC3i has been designed to align with the EU’s AFIR requirements for public charging infrastructure, including ad-hoc payment access and clear user information at the point of charge. The CC3i chargepoints at Rosenlundsgatan feature zero-touch Autocharge for drivers to simply plug in – the CC3i communicates with the vehicle and, if a payment method has previously been set up, begins charging.

The integrated touchscreen enables unique, rolling QR codes for payments, generated directly on the chargepoints . This removes risks associated with static QR stickers, reducing the potential for tampering, duplication and fraudulent redirects.

William Lagerqvist, Property Manager at Wallenstam, said: “As property owners in Gothenburg, operational reliability and long-term performance are absolutely crucial when we invest in charging infrastructure.

“Our experience with CTEK’s equipment is that it delivers exactly that – robust and dependable solutions. What we value most about their EV chargers is the combination of high quality, ease of use and minimal maintenance requirements.

“For us, it’s not just about installing chargers, but about providing our tenants with a safe and future-proof solution where we know the technology will perform over time. In that respect, we find that CTEK truly lives up to expectations.”

Richard Forssell, Key Account Manager at ChargeNode, said: “Rosenlundsgatan is a great example of what's possible when property owner, hardware partner and operator are properly aligned.

“Wallenstam wanted a long-term, low-maintenance solution that would grow with their tenants' needs, and the CC3i gave us the right platform to deliver it. We're proud to be the operator behind the first CC3i installation in Gothenburg, and to keep building on this with both Wallenstam and CTEK.”

Andreas Byberg, Key Account Manager EVSE at CTEK, said: “It is exciting to see our first CC3i chargepoints installed, switched on and charging EVs. Our thanks go to our partners Wallenstam and ChargeNode for this excellent installation and we look forward to continuing to work with them to expand the availability of smart, futureproofed EV charging in Sweden.”
