There is something very special about the cars in the Showcase Hall at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We’re talking jaw-dropping one-offs, from famous hot rods to exotic hypercars.

And that’s why CTEK will be there, with our friends from Matranga Hot Rods who are showcasing three exceptional builds – a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air called Brute Force, a 1971 Cuda and a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500

Brute Force certainly lives up to its name – with 800 horsepower from a 540-inch Merlin block with twin turbos – and is the culmination of what became a ten-year build.

The Ford features a single overhead cam (SOHC) Cammer engine developed for NASCAR racing but which, with 635 hp, never made it to general road use.

And Kent Matranga’s Plymouth Cuda is powered by a 707hp supercharged Hellcat engine.

Father and son team Bob and Kent Matranga use CTEK battery chargers to maintain the batteries in all the vehicles in their collection, so we are beyond excited to be with them at the LA Auto Show from November 21 to 30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Indeed, all the amazing vehicles in the Showcase Hall deserve some CTEK TLC. So, we’re supporting all the exhibitors with our battery chargers.

In the Showcase Hall alongside the Matranga duo will be a curated collection of iconic autos: 1964 Shelby Roadster, Porsche 996 Turbo, 2014 Lamborghini Huracan LP-610 Super Trofeo and more. Another CTEK custom collaborator, Ruffian Cars will also be in the Hall.

The Showcase Hall is sure to be a highlight of the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. If you are planning a visit to the Show, do make sure to visit the Showcase and say hello to the CTEK team.

Road trip ready: how to avoid a flat battery ruining your summer escape

There’s nothing quite like heading off in a motorhome during summer. Longer days, spontaneous stopovers, coastal roads, mountain campsites and evenings spent outdoors – it’s what motorhome life is all about. But summer adventures also place extra demand on your vehicle’s battery system. Fridges run constantly, lighting stays on later into the evening, phones and devices are always charging and many motorhomes sit unused between trips.
