CTEK and NAPIT join forces to support the UK's EV chargepoint installers

3 September 2025

CTEK is now an Electric Vehicle partner with NAPIT, a leading UK-accredited membership and training provider to tradespeople.  NAPIT has more than 20,000 registered installers who serve the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades in domestic, commercial and industrial markets.

NAPIT is committed to raising standards and safety with a friendly, common-sense approach – a perfect fit for CTEK’s approach to working with installers through free training and UK-based support and advice.

One of CTEK’s first collaborations with NAPIT will be live at the ELEX SHOW at Coventry’s CBS Arena on 11 and 12 September, where CTEK will have its own stand within the NAPIT EXPO Zone.

CTEK’s National Key Account Manager Mike Swain (top image) will be at the CTEK stand, offering insights and advice on all things EV and chargepoints to installers, contractors and other visitors.

Mike will be demonstrating CTEK’s futureproofed CHARGESTORM® CONNECTED 3 (CC3), showing how easy it is to install and network, and how its components can be simply replaced.

CTEK will be back in the NAPIT EXPO Zone at the following ELEX Show, at Sandown Park in Surrey on 6 and 7 November. The ELEX Shows are organised by the UK publication for installers, Professional Electrician.

Mike said: “CTEK is dedicated to providing installers with the products and knowhow to enable them to best serve their clients with reliable and futureproofed EV charging.

“The partnership with NAPIT underlines our commitment to the education of the sector on all things EV so installers have the confidence and competence to speed the UK’s transition to e-mobility.

“CTEK’s free training has been shared with countless UK installers and our UK based team is always on hand with advice and practical support when planning and commissioning EV charging installations.

“We are very pleased to be able to support NAPIT in its invaluable work to raise standards in the industry through the sharing of knowledge and expertise. We look forward to working with NAPIT registered installers.”

Stephen Melton, Commercial & Compliance Director at NAPIT, said: “It is great to strengthen the NAPIT EXPO partner offering with the addition of CTEK for the upcoming Coventry and Surrey shows. With the forecasted increase in demand for Electric Vehicles, partnering with manufacturers who not only create great products, but also embody the ethos of improving standards within the industry, is priority number one for NAPIT.

“Within the NAPIT member and customer base there has already been a huge number or tradespeople who have upskilled in the installation and design for Electric Vehicle chargepoints and partnering with CTEK is allowing these installers to gain access to free ongoing CPD in this area.”

Road trip ready: how to avoid a flat battery ruining your summer escape

There’s nothing quite like heading off in a motorhome during summer. Longer days, spontaneous stopovers, coastal roads, mountain campsites and evenings spent outdoors – it’s what motorhome life is all about. But summer adventures also place extra demand on your vehicle’s battery system. Fridges run constantly, lighting stays on later into the evening, phones and devices are always charging and many motorhomes sit unused between trips.
