In an extensive battery charger test conducted by the Swedish magazine Vi Bilägare (issue 16, 2024), nine chargers were compared to evaluate functionality, user-friendliness, safety, and compatibility with various battery types. The test highlighted the importance of choosing the right charger to maintain and charge car batteries effectively, especially during the winter months when cold weather impacts battery performance.

Among the tested chargers, many featured advanced capabilities, but according to Vi Bilägare, one model stood out:

"Many chargers are packed with great features, but there’s only one truly fool-proof charger that’s genuinely smart: the adaptive CTEK CS ONE with no buttons."

The charger received particular praise for its innovative design and ease of use. One of its most unique features is that it is completely buttonless, utilizing adaptive charging technology to automatically analyze the battery and adjust the charging process to its specific needs. This means users don’t need to make any settings, and the charger works equally well with different battery types, including lithium batteries.

Another feature that impressed the test panel is the charger’s polarity-free clamps, which eliminate the risk of incorrect connections during charging. Vi Bilägare described this as a significant advancement for both safety and user-friendliness.

CTEK’s Comment

Regarding the achievement of winning this prestigious test, Tony Zeal, Training Manager at CTEK, expressed great pride:

"We are proud that our CS ONE has once again been recognized as the market's most advanced and user-friendly charger. This test result is a testament to our ongoing efforts to set the standard in smart battery charging."

About the Test

The test was conducted on batteries in various conditions and included evaluations of charging cycles, safety features, and back current. The results showed that the CTEK CS ONE combines advanced technology with user-friendliness, which led to it being named the test’s clear winner.
For car owners looking for a charger that is both innovative and easy to use, the CTEK CS ONE is, according to the magazine, the obvious choice.

But summer adventures also place extra demand on your vehicle’s battery system. Fridges run constantly, lighting stays on later into the evening, phones and devices are always charging and many motorhomes sit unused between trips.
