Time to Upgrade Your EV Charging Experience

We're moving to a smarter, more powerful EV charging platform – and you're invited! 

This applies to end-users using the "Taking Charge" app with the following EV charging boxes: CHARGESTORM® CONNECTED 1, 2 & 3. 

Please note! NJORD GO is not affected by this but is still controlled from the CTEK APP. 

CTEK is transitioning from the “Taking Charge” app to the industry-leading Monta platform, giving you access to more advanced features, greater flexibility, and enhanced control over your charging. The Taking Charge app will be discontinued on 1 Jan 2026

To keep using your CHARGESTORM® CONNECTED charge point, you’ll need to transfer to Monta. It’s quick, secure – and completely free for users with up to three charge points. 

What happens if you don’t make the switch? 

If you choose not to migrate, you will eventually lose access to the Taking Charge app and the ability to control your charge point remotely. Over time, functionality will become limited, and by the end of 2025, the app will stop working entirely. 

Don’t risk losing control – make the switch today and enjoy more features than ever. 

What happens after you consent? 

  1. Log in to the migration portal with your Taking Charge login credentials and follow the instructions provided to consent. 
  2. Your request will be securely registered, and Monta will contact you within 1–2 weeks with a welcome email. 
  3. Follow the step-by-step guide in the email to set up your Monta account and connect your charge point.
