NTM Group invests in a fossil-free vehicle fleet on Gotland together with CTEK 

The NTM Group is actively working to align its operations with the 17 global goals set by the UN member states. The focus in 2022 will include sustainable production & consumption. As part of this work, the company has, among other things, chosen to install a number of EV charging points on Gotland where it has operations. 

NTM, Norrköpings Tidningars Media, is one of Sweden's largest local media groups. It is a foundation-owned company where the free and independent word is the basis for its operations. Gotlands Media, which is part of the NTM group, has been actively working on sustainability issues in recent years.  

Ensuring both sustainable production and consumption at all stages of the company's working life includes everything from waste management to recycled office furniture. It also includes 100% electric power for all editorial vehicles. Something that requires charging points. 

- Our journalists are out at work for most of the day and we have high demands on a sustainable infrastructure for charging our cars, says Johan Mattisson, CEO of Gotlands Media. 

When the NTM group needed new EV charging points, they chose the Chargestorm Connected 2 from CTEK, a modern charging box that can be mounted either on a wall or on a pole. 

- The chargers from CTEK fit our needs perfectly. It's a convenient solution with load balancing, dual outlets in a compact format. In addition, they come with a great app solution for future charging of employees' private electric cars, explains Johan Mattisson. 

The charging points were installed by a local electrician who was in close contact with the support team at CTEK. The charging points will be commissioned in the month of June 2022. 

- In total, we will have four electric cars that need charging, mainly during the night. We will use ear-marked RFID tags connected to each car to easily monitor power consumption, says Johan Mattisson. 

Previously, CTEK has also helped NTM-owned Svensk Hemleverans in their efforts to shift to a completely fossil-free fleet. This by delivering charging infrastructure and ancillary services in several locations in Sweden. 

- Both of these collaborations are good examples of how different actors complement each other in Sweden's move towards sustainable transport, with more chargeable vehicles on the road, says Daniel Forsberg, Marketing Manager EV CTEK.
