CTEK at Housing 2022
Meet the EV charging experts!
CTEK is joining Future Green Steps to exhibit at Housing 2022, the Chartered Institute of Housing's annual conference and Europe's leading housing festival, taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex over three days from 28 to 30 June.
The event brings together key stakeholders in the UK housing sector to discuss, debate, partner, learn and improve the lives of the people they house.
It is now mandatory for all new homes in England to have an electric vehicle (EV) charger installed1, making this a major consideration for housebuilders and social housing providers, who will have a vital role to play in the development of a robust, sustainable EV charging network as we head along the ‘Road to Zero’ emissions in 2050.
CTEK is one of Future Green Steps’ strategic partners and a supplier of charge point products into their client base. Future Green Steps provide scalable smart EV charging networks that can be shaped to meet the individual requirements of businesses, landlords or developers. Their end-to-end approach includes consultancy around the intended design, management of the installation process and ongoing oversight and operation of the EV charging infrastructure under a managed service contract.
CTEK is delighted to be supporting Future Green Steps as an exhibitor on their Stand, No.B30. We are looking forward to meeting social housing providers, housebuilders and landlords to discuss how, working with partners such as Future Green Steps, we can support customers to develop complete, future-proofed EV charging solutions. This includes helping to scope and plan a project based on the customer’s needs and expectations, advice on the Government grants available, integration with a customer’s existing systems and equipment, assistance during the commissioning process and full technical after sales support.
For landlords and owners of flats and rental properties, Government grants are available for EV installations through the Office for Zero Emissions Vehicles (OZEV), and Future Green Steps is authorised under the OZEV Approved Installer Scheme.
CTEK’s CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 2 EV chargers are OZEV approved and are eligible for grants under the Government’s Electric Vehicle Charging Scheme, which currently offers landlords and owners of flats and rental properties 75% of the cost of the installation of one charge point socket, up to a maximum of £350 (including VAT).
In addition, landlords of apartment blocks and developments with residential car parks can access £30,000 of grant funding for the provision of EV charge points and infrastructure for future charge points at a site. Landlords can claim up to £850 for each bay with an active charge point, and £500 for each bay with a ‘passive’ installation, i.e. a bay with the underground cables in place, so long as there are at least five bays with an EV installation, of which at least one must have an active charge point. This grant can also used for load balancing solutions like CTEK’s NANOGRID, as well as for the charge points themselves, and landlords can make applications for up to 30 sites in total to create EV infrastructure at residential car parks across their portfolio.
Future Green Steps and CTEK are among 300 exhibitors and sponsors at Housing 2022, and the expected 8,000 attendees can also look forward to presentations from 450 speakers in 10 theatres, 10 streams of content and 60 official fringe events. You can find more information about Housing 2022 here.
