CASE STUDY | Atrium Ljungberg Partners with Eways and CTEK to Expand Charging Infrastructure
Atrium Ljungberg, a Swedish company specializing in the development of urban environments, has made a significant investment in expanding its charging infrastructure as part of its sustainability strategy. In collaboration with Eways and CTEK, Atrium Ljungberg has recently installed numerous charging points at the Mobilia shopping centre in Malmö and the Sickla shopping district in Stockholm.
The initiative aims to provide charging facilities for Atrium Ljungberg's tenants with office and retail spaces, as well as cater to visitors of the Sickla shopping centre. Over the course of several stages, approximately 400 charging points have been installed, creating convenient access to electric vehicle charging. Robert Hägg, sales manager at Eways, highlights the company's commitment to meet the needs of its customers, stating, "Atrium Ljungberg wants to offer charging to its tenants who have office and retail premises. They also want to offer charging for visitors to the Sickla shopping centre."
Atrium Ljungberg has long prioritized sustainability efforts, and their board recently adopted a new sustainability strategy and goals. One of these objectives is to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. The company takes responsibility for the social and environmental impacts of its operations and actively contributes to the transition to electric vehicles by providing charging solutions. Hägg explains, "Atrium Ljungberg has an active sustainability program, and the management decided early on that they would be part of the transition to electric cars by offering charging for customers."
When it comes to charging infrastructure, Atrium Ljungberg has chosen to utilize CTEK's platform, which has proven effective in shopping centre environments. The modular chargers offered by CTEK allow for the integration of fixed cords and sockets in charging boxes. Atrium Ljungberg has opted for double sockets whenever possible, streamlining the charging process. Hägg adds, "In the beginning, we load-balanced between the sockets, but now we use Nanogrid as standard”. Atrium Ljungberg is pleased with the performance of the charging points and expresses satisfaction with the collaboration between Eways and CTEK.
Through their partnership with Eways and CTEK, Atrium Ljungberg continues to actively promote sustainable practices, enhance the electric vehicle charging experience, and contribute to the creation of vibrant and environmentally responsible urban environments.
