CTEK and Ruffian Cars Bring “Race-Bred Thinking” to Europe – Joint Debut at Ultrace Germany

16 April 2026

CTEK, a global leader in battery charging solutions, is joining forces with U.S. custom car builder Ruffian Cars to showcase their offerings at Ultrace Germany, taking place April 25–26, 2026, at the Areal Böhler in Meerbusch. The spotlight will be on two extraordinary automotive icons, the Ruffian GT40 and the Ruffian Galaxie, as well as innovative CTEK charging solutions for high-performance applications.

Performance Without Compromise

CTEK and Ruffian Cars are united by a shared vision of uncompromising performance and technical excellence. Ruffian Cars, founded by Chris Ashton, stands for “race-bred thinking”—a philosophy that reinterprets classic vehicles with modern engineering, without compromise or nostalgic romanticism. From its first project—a 1970 Ford Mustang—to the internationally acclaimed GT40, Ruffian embodies the drive to challenge and redefine existing boundaries. This is precisely where CTEK comes in: with reliable, precise, and high-performance charging solutions that meet the demanding requirements of these unique vehicles.

Exclusive access for media

Two vehicle highlights will be presented at the CTEK booth, underscoring Ruffian’s goal of combining design excellence with real-world performance. Media representatives will have the exclusive opportunity on-site to take detailed shots and close-ups of the vehicles:

  • Ruffian GT40 – a modern reinterpretation of the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk1, equipped with a 5.2-liter DOHC engine. A technologically sophisticated restomod that has set new standards in development and execution.
  • Ruffian Galaxie – a 1963 sedan transformed into a 700-hp high-performance vehicle that combines track performance with street legality.

The latest Instagram post from CTEK and Ruffian Cars offers a visual preview of the collaboration.

Focus on Product Innovations

At the same time, CTEK is presenting its latest product innovations in the field of battery management. They are specifically designed to reliably support high-performance vehicles with complex electronics and ensure their long-term performance:

  • NXT Series NXT 5 & 15 – sustainable and future-oriented chargers with a focus on efficiency and performance
  • CS ONE Gen 2 – intelligent, adaptive charger with APTO™ technology (adaptive charging) for maximum user-friendliness
  • RB Booster 3000 & 4000 – powerful jump-start solutions for professional and demanding applications

CTEK is represented in the Future Hall, a central component of the curated Ultrace concept. Visitors can expect a high-quality brand experience that combines innovative automotive culture, engineering, and technology.

Ultrace is considered one of Europe’s most innovative automotive events. Instead of traditional trade show formats, the event features a curated selection of extraordinary vehicles, visionary design, and the people behind global car culture. With over a thousand vehicles across multiple halls, Ultrace brings together the past, present, and future of automotive passion.

Invitation to the Press Conference

Media representatives are cordially invited to visit the CTEK booth and schedule interviews. In addition to Christian Fritz (Regional Sales Manager DACH) and Katharine Alsop (Head of Marketing & PR) , Ruffian Cars founder Chris Ashton will also be available for exclusive statements and technical insights.
