CTEK is proud to be supporting the amazing work of the Ronald McDonald House at Huddinge, where families can stay when their children need healthcare at Karolinska University Hospital’s Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital.
We have donated two dual CHARGESTORM CONNECTED CC3i Electric Vehicle charge points to the Ronald McDonald House so families with EVs who are away from home can charge without having to travel.
It’s one less thing to worry about for approximately 800 families who come from all over Sweden each year to stay there during longer or shorter periods of treatment for their children at the hospital, just a few minutes’ walk away.
The installation of the charge points, by our installer partner Kalema E-Mobility, is part of a wider renovation of the outdoor spaces at the Ronald McDonald House, which has been open for more than 30 years and was the first in Sweden.
The wonderful garden, an oasis for families with its beautiful trees and bushes, has new lighting, walkways and playground. The official opening was on October 1, where CTEK was delighted to be present.

Johanna Mogren Sundqvist, CTEK’s Sales Manager for E-Mobility, said:
“We are very happy to have been able to assist so many families, now and into the future. Making charging their EVs more convenient is a simple way we could help.”
Martin Götesson, CEO at Kalema E-Mobility, said:
“We are proud to be part of this contribution to Ronald McDonald House. A small contribution to a great cause.”
Agnieszka Eriksson, Director of Operations at Ronald McDonald House, said:
“Being able to offer charging possibilities in our own parking lot is much longed for by us and our families. It might seem like just a good move for the environment but it's so much more.
“The solution to charge has up until now been located far away and only available at night, meaning that parents have had to leave the House, or even the hospital and the bedside of their sick child, at very inconvenient times to move their car. We are so grateful for CTEK and everyone else involved to help us better help the families.”
