Swedish Business Award 2024: CTEK among the three nominees

On 21 November, the Swedish Enterprise Award will be presented for the 21st time. And this time it will be presented by a very special guest of honour: Marcus Wandt, the Swedish astronaut, will present the award - possibly to CTEK. The world's leading manufacturer of starter battery chargers has once again made it to the final selection. 

On 21 November, fingers will be crossed at AXICA near the Brandenburg Gate: CTEK, the Swedish manufacturer of battery charging solutions, is among the three nominees for the Swedish Business Award. Since 2003, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy have been awarding the prize annually in three categories: large companies, medium-sized companies and newcomers with Swedish roots. 

The keynote speaker in 2024 will be Swedish ESA astronaut Marcus Wandt, who this year became the first ESA astronaut to take part in a commercial manned space flight, the AXIOM 3 project to the ISS. He will present the award to the winners. The German ambassador to Sweden, Dr Joachim Bertele, will also be present as a guest of honour. 

CTEK has been nominated in the ‘Medium-sized companies’ category, which recognises companies whose business activities are of particular interest to Sweden, and which are characterised by solid finances and a sustained positive sales trend. 

‘We are particularly pleased about the nomination because we have seen ourselves as ambassadors for Sweden in Germany since 2017, when we entered the German market,’ says Christian Fritz, CTEK's area sales manager. ‘Our chargers have brought Swedish know-how not only to many workshops, but also to many private households." 

The presentation of the Swedish Enterprise Award marks the start of the German-Swedish Business Forum, which offers entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the German-Swedish business community the opportunity to make new contacts, maintain their networks and cultivate their business relationships. Previous winners include EINRIDE, a manufacturer of self-driving trucks, Polestar, a joint venture between carmakers Volvo and Geely, fuel cell manufacturer PowerCell and energy company Vattenfall.
