CTEK Unveils NJORD GO Firmware 3.2: Enhanced Wireless Load Balancing, Stronger Wi-Fi, and Simplified Network Identification
CTEK has released firmware 3.2 for the NJORD GO EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), introducing targeted updates aimed at refining the charging experience for electric vehicle (EV) owners. Available for download through the CTEK app, this firmware version focuses on improving three key aspects of daily charging, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
A key highlight of this update is the refinement of the load balancing algorithm, which is now enhanced to support the wireless load balancing capabilities provided by NANOGRID AIR. This improvement ensures a more effective and intelligent distribution of power, allowing the EVSE to adapt more dynamically to the vehicle's needs. The result is potential improvements in charging times and better overall energy efficiency, all handled seamlessly by NANOGRID AIR.
Connectivity enhancements include a significant boost in Wi-Fi performance. The firmware ensures that the EVSE connects to the strongest access point (AP) available when multiple networks share the same SSID. This development aims to minimize disruptions during the charging process, ensuring a more stable and reliable connection for users.
Additionally, the firmware simplifies the network identification process by standardizing the mDNS host and instance name to "ctek-njord." This change facilitates easier location and connection of the EVSE within a network, streamlining the setup process for users.
With the release of firmware 3.2, CTEK reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the NJORD GO EVSE's functionality and user convenience. By focusing on crucial areas such as wireless load balancing through NANOGRID AIR, Wi-Fi stability, and network identification, CTEK provides users with a reliable and straightforward charging solution.
EV owners are encouraged to download the latest firmware update via the CTEK app to benefit from these enhancements, ensuring an optimized and seamless charging experience.
