Case Study: CTEK in partnership with Vourity
CTEK in partnership with Vourity to simplify payment for electric vehicle charging
The partnership between CTEK, the leading global brand in vehicle charging solutions, and payment platform Vourity, will enable electric vehicle (EV) drivers to pay at CTEK’s charging stations using open payment. This includes Mastercard and Visa Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and mobile payment methods such as Swish, Vipps and MobilePay. No app, pre-registration or membership is required, you can easily use the payment method of your choice.
As we see increased demand and more electrical vehicles on the road every day, this exciting partnership aims to make it just as easy to charge your EV as it is to fill up your tank with petrol.
Hans Nottehed, founder and CEO of Vourity says, ”The e-mobility industry needs to work together to make electric vehicle charging as easy and smooth as possible. If we can make the experience of driving an EV better than driving a vehicle powered by fossil fuels, we contribute to the transition towards a greener society. The future is electric.”
Vourity's payment terminals are an all-in-one solution for electric vehicle charging. It is an award-winning payment platform which gives EV drivers the opportunity to pay with open payment methods when charging their car. The platform also enables the issue and redemption of digital vouchers such as coupons and gift cards, to create offers and build loyalty with their customers.
Hans Nottehed says, “We believe that if it’s easy to pay for charging are we going to drive the shift to greener mobility. Existing payment solutions based on apps and RFID tags are in many cases too complicated for people in general. Today, as EV charging becomes more common, there is a huge demand for simple payment solutions. Vourity is in the center of making EV charging easier”
The terminals are an all-in-one solution that can handle payments for multiple charging stations and EV connections, both AC and DC, simultaneously. They can be installed on and retrofitted to existing installations and for new installations as well.
“There is also a great demand for converting charging points into marketplaces that offer additional services to EV drivers. This could be vending machines, coffee machines, public toilets and more. Vourity’s payment platform enables charging station operators and facility owners to establish these services, which will provide new and important revenue streams,” says Hans Nottehed.
CTEK chargers are now integrated with the Vourity platform, making it easy for operators and property owners to introduce and offer credit card payments to their customers. The charge point operators can introduce open payments methods by simply ordering and installing a Vourity Paystation or Vourity Paybox. No modifications are required at the charging stations.
Hans Nottehed says, “With the collaboration between Vourity and CTEK, we are taking EV charging to a new level of simplicity. It's a global solution that is working across countries and charge points, you just have to swipe your credit card to start charging. It shouldn't be harder than that”.
