Are you an everyday driver? A motorsports enthusiast? A workshop professional? Maybe you’re all three. But whatever your relationship with cars and other vehicles, a battery booster such as CTEK’s new RB3000 and RB4000, now available in the US and Canada, has a vital role to play in keeping you moving.

A dead 12V battery can turn a routine journey, a busy workshop schedule or a race weekend into frustration, delay and expense. A portable battery booster provides an immediate source of jump start power. For everyday drivers, that means reassurance in the trunk; for professionals, it can mean less downtime and a more efficient working day.

Starting power, wherever it is needed

A battery booster delivers a short, high-current burst of energy to start an engine.

CTEK’s new duo of boosters provides a choice, one to be guided by what you drive, when you drive it and how. The RB 3000 is aimed at cars and smaller SUVs, pickups, vans and campervans. It can provide up to 30 starts on one charge.

The higher-capacity RB 4000 is designed for larger vehicles with bigger engines and is also well suited to workshops, fleet operators and roadside assistance work. One charge provides up to 45 starts.

Both CTEK boosters also function as portable power banks and include an LED light with three settings. They are designed to be reliable, durable, robust, compact and easy to use.

RB 3000: everyday confidence

For an everyday driver, the value of the RB 3000 is straightforward: compact starting power is available without waiting for another vehicle or arranging immediate roadside help. Picture a car left at an airport in cold weather, a family SUV with an interior light accidentally left on, or a campervan that has been parked up between trips. In each case, the booster helps turn an inconvenient no-start into a manageable task.

The same capability suits car enthusiasts. A cherished vehicle may cover few miles, spend long periods in storage or be moved repeatedly during cleaning and maintenance. At a club event or track day, the RB 3000 can provide a practical safeguard when repeated short starts, accessories or limited running time have left a 12V battery short of energy. Its power bank function can also support mobile devices, while the torch provides useful illumination during a roadside check.

RB 4000: the capacity for bigger demands

In a workshop, a no-start vehicle interrupts the job flow and can occupy valuable space. The RB 4000 gives technicians a portable way to quickly start a large range of vehicles of all sizes, and its capacity for up to 45 starts per charge is well suited to repeated use across a working day. No donor vehicle needs to be manoeuvred into place, helping the technician respond quickly whether a car is on a ramp, in a service bay or parked outside.

Motorsport brings a different kind of pressure. Race and support vehicles may be started repeatedly, moved around a paddock or run with data logging, radios and other equipment drawing power. When every session has a fixed start time, dependable equipment matters. The RB 4000 offers teams a robust, self-contained source of starting power that can move from the garage to the pit lane or transporter as required.

Fleet operators and roadside assistance workers face similar demands at greater scale. A delivery van that will not start can affect a route; an idle fleet vehicle can delay a shift; a stranded customer needs a prompt, controlled response. The RB 4000’s broader engine coverage and greater number of starts make it a great choice where equipment must be ready for frequent use across varied vehicles and working conditions.

Four benefits for all

  • Reliability: starting power is available at the point of need, whether that is a driveway before work, a service bay between appointments or a paddock minutes before a session.
  • Performance: both boosters deliver over and over again, thanks to their Swedish design and their ability to quickly charge up and store that power for months.
  • Durability: CTEK’s boosters are portable and compact, ideal for storage, transport and regular handling whilst remaining dependable.
  • Ease of use: a booster is most valuable when it makes a stressful situation simpler. Portable operation, integrated lighting and power bank functionality equals multiple useful tools in one device.

Two boosters, one solution

No matter who you are or what you drive, both the RB 3000 and RB 4000 provide a neat solution for a dead battery and deliver that most precious of benefits – peace of mind. Whether you decide you need the RB 3000 or the RB 4000, both provide those qualities any driver values – reliability, performance, durability and ease of use. It’s that shared foundation that enables one product family to serve everyone from the everyday driver, enthusiast or professional.

Falun, Sweden – CTEK, a global leader in battery charging and electric vehicle charging, has entered into a new agreement with the Swedish Ski Association to provide EV charging infrastructure at Riksskidstadion in Falun, Sweden’s Alpine National Arena and the Swedish Ski Association’s Åre office. Under the agreement, CTEK is providing charging solutions from its CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 3 (CC3) product family. The project is being delivered alongside installation partner Kalema e-Mobility, which is carrying out the installations at Riksskidstadion, Sweden’s Alpine National Arena and the Swedish Ski Association’s Åre office. The chargers will support electric passenger cars and support vehicles used by athletes, coaches and staff, as well as other electric vehicles operated by the Swedish Ski Association. They will provide reliable and convenient charging when vehicles are at Riksskidstadion, Sweden’s Alpine National Arena or the Swedish Ski Association’s Åre office, supporting the Association’s continued transition towards more sustainable transport. For the Swedish Ski Association, the drive to constantly improve goes beyond athletic performance. The Association believes it is equally important to keep improving the smart, climate-friendly solutions that support its everyday operations. “We are delighted to work with the Swedish Ski Association as its EV charging partner. Elite sport depends not only on what happens on the track or slopes, but also on the people, vehicles and infrastructure working behind the scenes. By providing our CC3 charging technology and working alongside Kalema e-Mobility, we can help support the Association’s everyday operations and its transition towards more electrified transport,” said Johanna Mogren Sundqvist, Sales Manager EVSE at CTEK. Developed in Sweden for professional EV charging, CC3 can be adapted to different organisations, vehicle requirements and parking environments. The EV chargers can provide up to 22 kW per outlet and support connectivity and load balancing. This allows the available electrical capacity to be used efficiently while enabling the charging infrastructure to expand as the Swedish Ski Association’s requirements grow. "For us, this investment is about creating the conditions for a smarter and more sustainable operation. Our athletes, coaches and staff travel extensively throughout the year, and reliable charging infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important part of our everyday operations. CTEK combines proven technology with strong local roots in Dalarna, making them a natural supplier as we continue to develop our organisation and reduce the environmental impact of our transport solutions," said Johan Gräfnings, Swedish Ski Association. The agreement connects CTEK’s home in Falun, Dalarna, with the Swedish Ski Association’s activities at Sweden’s Alpine National Arena and its Åre office in Jämtland. For CTEK, it is an opportunity to support the Swedish Ski Association and its national teams with technology that makes a practical difference behind the scenes. Why Every Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Still Depends on a 12V Battery

Charging a hybrid car battery is not only about the high-voltage drive battery. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles also use a separate 12V battery to power essential systems and enable the vehicle to start its electronic control sequence. If that battery is flat, the vehicle may not enter its ready-to-drive mode.
