Hur avancerad smart laddning av elfordon (EV) kan gynna förare, företag och elnätet undersöktes under ett seminarium där CTEK deltog på Energimässan, Sveriges största energiutställning och konferens.

Stefan Gabrielsson, produktchef på CTEK, deltog i en paneldiskussion om smart laddning som undersökte varför teknik som Vehicle to Grid (V2G) ännu inte har implementerats i större skala.

Genom att mata tillbaka energi från elbilens batteri till elnätet kan V2G potentiellt hjälpa elnätet att hantera effekttoppar och minska kostnaderna för förare och fordonsflottor.

På frågan om V2G-tekniken är redo för bredare användning förklarade Stefan att utvecklingen av smart laddning har skett stegvis – först genom att styra laddströmmen för att skydda byggnadens huvudsäkring och senare genom att optimera laddningen för att undvika eller minska exponeringen mot höga elpriser.

Stefan menade att V2G-standarden nu finns tillgänglig i hårdvaran – CTEK:s laddstationer CC3 och CC3i är båda V2G‑redo – men att det som krävs för att möjliggöra användning är tjänsteerbjudanden från operatörerna.

"Ur ett tekniskt perspektiv finns potentialen där," sa Stefan, "nu handlar det mer om att skapa attraktiva erbjudanden för slutanvändarna. Handlar det om fri parkering i offentliga parkeringshus? Ersättning till företag med arbetsplatsparkering? Eller lägre elräkningar för privatpersoner?"

Stefan fick även frågan vilken aktör i kedjan – från elnät till laddoperatör till laddstation till elbil – som bör styra när V2G-urladdning ska starta och stoppas.

Stefan svarade:
"Risken är att om signalen kommer direkt från elnätet kan andra laster i installationen, som till exempel värmepumpar, använda den tillgängliga effekten utan att det ger någon nytta för elnätet."

"Istället bör styrsignalen gå till byggnadens energihanteringssystem, som kan koordinera de stora lasterna så att det faktiskt ger nytta för elnätet. Ett sådant system är mer lämpligt för större byggnader – men samma utmaning finns även vid hemmaladdning."

I panelen på Energimässan deltog även representanter från Volkswagen Group Sverige, Voltiva, E.ON Energidistribution och Checkwatt. Moderator var Linda Thell Marklund från Power Circle, som ställde frågan vilka de viktigaste orsakerna är till att mer avancerad smart laddning ännu inte används i större utsträckning.

Stefan svarade:
"För det första finns teknikstandarden för DC‑V2G på plats och kommer snart även för AC. Fordonstillverkarna behöver möjliggöra V2G i sina elbilar i större skala och på ett mer standardiserat sätt. Därefter handlar det om att skapa attraktiva och övertygande erbjudanden för både företag och konsumenter."

Förra året spelade CTEK en nyckelroll i ett banbrytande test av AC‑baserad dubbelriktad V2G‑laddning tillsammans med elbilar från Volvo Cars. Testet omfattade elva CC3‑laddstationer på tre platser i Göteborg.

Volvoanställda körde specialmodifierade testbilar (EX40 och C40) samt serietillverkade bilar (EX90) och kopplade in dem vid parkeringsplatser utrustade med CC3‑laddare.

Förarna behövde inte styra V2G‑funktionen manuellt – detta hanterades genom kommunikation mellan CC3, Volvos backend‑system och energileverantören. Testbilarna identifierade sig mot laddarna via Autocharge‑metoden.
