TROUBLESHOOTING
The CS FREE is stuck at ¼ light when charging
- This could mean that the internal battery has gone into UVP (Under Voltage Protection). There’s various reasons to why this happens. The main reason why is that the CS FREE has been left unattended for too long.
- It takes approximetely 60 minutes to charge a CS FREE from 0-100%.
If your CS FREE has this issue, it counts as defective.
For warranty inquiries, please contact your retailer to initiate a replacement claim.
The CS FREE is fully charged but it doesn’t charge the connected battery.
- Make sure the battery has at least 3V of charge.
- Make sure the clamps have good connection with the terminals.
- Check the charging cables for cracks and other defects.
- Check the pins for the connector on both the charging cable and the charger.
- Make sure the connector is seated properly in the charger.
If the issue persists, try connecting a different known good battery. If there is no difference in the behaviour, and all the above is OK, the charger might be defective.

DISPLAY EXPLANATION
On top of the charger, you can see two circles of light.
The small circle is indicating the state of charge of the internal battery, and is also the POWER ON/OFF button.
The bigger circle is showing the state of charge of the battery you are charging. The circling white light showing that the charger seeking/analyzing the battery. If this process takes longer than 60 seconds, it is an indication of poor contact between the battery and the charger - or a battery drained too low (<3V for lead acid and a lithium that has closed-down, Under Voltage Protection).
Charging indicator (START, >8, 6, 4, 2, 1h). Indicates which stage the charger is in during the charging process.
When the START light is steady, the power in the starter battery is most likely enough to start your vehicle.
When the battery is fully charged, the CS FREE will automatically go into CARE mode and maintain a safe charge.
The CARE mode is shown by all lights on the LED indicator pulsing.
Error indicator (>8 and 2). This indicates that there is either a faulty connection to the battery or the battery being charged is faulty.

The internal battery (66Wh/6Ah)
A wall socket using the USB-C cable, the PD-charger and a suitable connection. All is provided in the box.
Solar power using the optional SOLAR PANEL CHARGE KIT (40-463)
Another 12V battery using the optional USB-C CHARGE CABLE CLAMPS (40-465)
You can recharge the CS FREE whilst driving your vehicle using the optional USB-C CHARGE CABLE 12V PLUG. (40-464)
