SkiStar's Transition to Green Mobility
SkiStar, a leading player in the ski resort industry, has recently made a strategic move towards sustainability by investing in electric vehicle (EV) chargers across its ski resorts. Recognising the growing importance of green mobility and the increasing demand for electric vehicles, SkiStar aimed to provide convenient and sustainable charging solutions for its visitors. After initial dissatisfaction with a previous supplier, SkiStar turned to CTEK and implemented their CHARGESTORM CONNECTED® 2 EV chargers, experiencing enhanced satisfaction and ease of installation and maintenance.
Fredrik Sköldin from SkiStar said “At SkiStar, we believe in creating a seamless and sustainable experience for our visitors. The decision to invest in CTEK’s CC2 chargers aligns with our commitment to providing reliable and convenient services in line with the growing demands of e-mobility”.
SkiStar initially engaged with another supplier to establish EV charging infrastructure in their ski resorts. However, the performance and reliability of the chargers fell short of SkiStar's expectation. Recognising the critical importance of reliable EV charging infrastructure in catering to the changing preferences of their clientele, SkiStar decided to reevaluate their approach and sought out a more dependable solution.
After an extensive evaluation process, SkiStar decided to partner with CTEK for their EV charging needs. The CC2 charger, known for its robust performance and user-friendly features, met SkiStar's requirements. The majority of the chargers are installed in Vemdalen and some are installed in Sälen.
Mikael Borell from Mer said "The installation process of CTEK’s CC2 chargers was exceptionally smooth. The user-friendly design and comprehensive installation support from CTEK allowed us to seamlessly integrate the chargers without causing disruptions to the resort's operations."
The chargers were easy to deploy, requiring minimal disruption to the ski resort operations. The simplicity of the installation process also contributed to cost savings and ensured a quick turnaround time, allowing SkiStar to offer reliable EV charging services to its visitors without extended downtime.
Fredrik Sköldin commented “Our guests' preferences are evolving, and so must our offerings. The transition to electric vehicle infrastructure is a strategic move towards meeting the changing needs of our environmentally conscious clientele while contributing to a greener future."
SkiStar has expressed high levels of satisfaction with the performance and reliability of the CTEK CC2 chargers. The ease of maintenance has further streamlined their operations, reducing the need for extensive technical support and minimizing downtime. This has translated into enhanced customer satisfaction, as visitors can rely on a consistent and efficient EV charging experience during their stay at SkiStar's resorts.
Fredrik Sköldin continued “The positive response from our guests reaffirms our belief that sustainable practices and services, such as CTEK's chargers, are integral to the future success of SkiStar. We see a significant rise in demand for EV infrastructure and are eager to scale up our efforts to meet and exceed these expectations."
Mikael Borell commented "Mer is proud to contribute to the success of SkiStar's green mobility initiative. The satisfaction expressed by SkiStar and its guests is a testament to the quality and effectiveness of CTEK's CC2 EV chargers. We look forward to continued collaboration in bringing sustainable solutions to more businesses and industries."
SkiStar's successful transition to CTEK’s CC2 chargers reflects the importance of reliable and efficient charging infrastructure in the evolving landscape of green mobility. By making strategic investments in sustainable solutions, SkiStar not only meets the demands of its environmentally conscious clientele but also positions itself as a leader in promoting sustainable practices within the ski resort industry.
