Transport is L&T's single largest climate impact in its own operations. That's why it is working with CTEK, among others, to reduce its emissions. This is done by accelerating the electrification of its own vehicle fleet and at the same time investing in charging infrastructure.
Lassila & Tikanoja Sweden is a service company that offers responsible and sustainable facility management services that simplify everyday life for customers in schools, health & care, retail, offices, logistics and industry.
Transport is L&T's single largest climate impact in its own operations. The company has set itself the goal of reducing its emissions. One of the ways it is doing this is by accelerating the electrification of its own vehicle fleet and pushing the charging infrastructure.
At present, L&T has 100 fully electric cars and is well on the way to electrifying its entire fleet. The aim is for all service vehicles within the company to be electric within five years.
The big challenge in the transition to electric vehicles is that the charging infrastructure needs to keep pace with the delivery of electric vehicles. By 2030, it is estimated that half of the cars on Swedish roads will be chargeable. To meet the demand for charging, the expansion of the charging infrastructure needs to increase.
L&T is taking on the challenge of securing the future in several ways by working with fuel companies, suppliers, society and customers. All company offices are equipped with charging boxes to enable employees and visitors to charge their electric vehicles. At the same time, customers are offered complete charging solutions in their properties.
- We have in the region of 50 offices around the country and we will install charging points at all of them. We are also in discussions with our customers about expanding their charging facilities," says Erik Sundström, CEO of L&T.
