CTEK CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 2 receives high rating in recent Carup test
Swedish online automotive newsmagazine, Carup offers the latest news within the sector, also giving tips and advice to car buyers. They have been testing the CTEK CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 2 on several electric vehicles (EV), with really positive results.
Carup has extensively tested the CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 2 (CC2) to understand its quality, functionality, and ease of use. They tested the CC2 together with Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq, among others. Carup had no complaints, they explained that the CC2 had a good compatibility with all of the EV’s.
Carup was impressed with the quality of the charger*, highlighting that it is well-made and robust. Carup also spoke to EV installers, who said that the CC2 was easy to install and easy to use simply plug in your car and start charging. The large, easy to use display lets you know when your car is charging -and it was noted that lights were visible even during a snowstorm!
The CC2 is a popular EV charger both in public spaces and at the workplace, as well as for home charging. It has load balancing capability, which makes sure that electricity is carefully distributed, a valuable asset when charging at home. This means that the EV charger can be programmed to consume less power when other electric appliances are in use, to not overload the power grid. There is also an app for easier management of the CC2. Carup concludes that the CC2 is a reliable EV charger, no matter where you choose to charge your car.
*You might have noticed that we call the CC2 ‘EV charger’. Technically speaking it’s ‘electrical vehicle supply equipment’ (or EVSE for short), that provides a safe supply of electricity to power the on-board battery charger in your Electrical Vehicle (EV). Most people use the term EV charger, so to keep things simple, we’ve chosen to use this term too.
