EV charging stations increase at Aimo Park's facilities in Sweden
With around 250,000 parking spaces spread over more than 6,000 parking facilities, Aimo Park is one of Sweden's leading parking companies, for electric vehicles (EVs) in particular.
Aimo Park works with a large number of property owners, condominium associations, municipalities and county councils to continuously install new charging stations.
Matias Åkesson, purchasing manager at Aimo Park Sweden AB, said “We install charging stations in consultation with our clients, who are usually property owners. The need is increasing as more and more electric cars appear on the market.
“Sustainability has become increasingly important to us, not least after we got Japanese owners about three years ago, but also because our clients and customers want to see more EV charging points in the garages and parking spaces that we manage.
“We chose CTEK because the company has good products, there are short delivery times and it was a price that we thought was okay.
“The installation of the charging stations at Aimo Park's parking facilities has generally gone well. Installations differ from case to case, as each garage has its challenges in everything from access to electricity to where the charging points can be mounted. Load balancing of the electricity has also been an important variable for us, as there is often a limitation in the availability of electricity.
Mr Åkesson says that the company is working hard to fulfill the requests of property owners, condominium associations, municipalities and county councils to install new charging stations. “There is a constant dialogue regarding the expansion of the number of charging points, and requests are unlikely to decrease in the future.”
He is supported by Cecilia Routledge, Global Director Energy & Facilities at CTEK:
“The number of electric cars on our Swedish roads continues to break records and new political decisions on the expansion of Swedish charging infrastructure are beginning to have a broad impact,” says Cecilia. “These are some of the driving forces behind the expansion of Swedish charging infrastructure and we are happy that CTEK is playing an important role in the journey towards a greener and more sustainable world.”
