Automechanika: CTEK and ChromeCars bring Hollywood glamour to Frankfurt
Visitors to the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt can expect numerous innovations from CTEK. The main attraction is the unveiling of the legendary movie car Eleanor from the film ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’.
CTEK, the Swedish manufacturer of battery charging solutions, will surprise visitors to this year's Automechanika in Frankfurt with a highlight. From 10 to 14 September 2024 , they can experience the latest CTEK products up close in Hall 8.0, Stand G40- and take a look at the legendary ‘Eleanor’ movie car. Eleanor is an original Ford Mustang from the film ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ with Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie. It is the last car that Cage is supposed to steal as Memphis Raines in order to free his brother from the clutches of a gang of car thieves. Chris Zöllner from Chrome Cars will present Eleanor to the public together with CTEK’s CEO Henrik Fagrenius on Tuesday, 10 September at 11 am. Both will be available for interviews.
In the footsteps of Eleanor
The so-called automotive archeologists from Chrome Cars were able to track down the iconic vehicle after a long search. Hot rod designer legend Steve Stanford and Chip Foose reinterpreted the 1967 Shelby GT500 for the film. Eleven vehicles were produced at the time - only three of which are fully functional performance cars. Among other things, they have been given a complete suspension upgrade and are equipped with 351cid high-performance engines from Ford Racing. Zöllner acquired one of the three Hero Cars from a private collector in 2017.
CTEK on site
Rarities like Eleanor need to be carefully maintained and cared for. CTEK will be showcasing suitable battery charging solutions for the movie car and all other types of vehicles at the Automechanika stand. CTEK's German sales team will be on site for the entire duration of the fair to provide advice on products and the latest developments in battery charging solutions. CTEK’s CEO Henrik Fagrenius will be available for discussions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
